Ok, so i need a diet routine to help me get this fat off. ive been doing alot of reading and studying and know you are supposed to eat 5 small snacks throughout the day and need help doing that and what to eat, low in carbs and fats, high in protein right? so this is what i came up with…. morning 6am – oatmeal. 10 am, granola bar, 3 pm, cereal, 6pm, protein shakes… what do you think? lots of breads and stuff, i workout between 4-6. so the protien shake is for my muscles. thanks. please post any other foods or suggestions.
Ok so then in the morning, a banna or apple, then some kind of veggie (carrots) then some cereal, protein shake?

Chosen Answer:

You need to go lower on the carbs and higher on the protein. Limit carbs to your first 2 meals of the day. For the rest of the meals eat protein – whey powder shake, cottage cheese, Fage yogert, Chicken breast, tuna fish, salmon. Cereal should be Kashi Go Lean (13g protein per serving). Lose the granola bar, the bread and other starchy foods (if you must have bread try Arnold Carb Counting – 9g carbs and 5g protein per slice). Needless to say no junk food or sweets. You should be getting 0.8 g of protein per pound of bodyweight per day. Do some moderately intense cardio exercise every day. Go to bed an hour earlier and get up an hour earlier and go jogging. Each person’s body is the result of their particular genetic physiology combined with their particular lifestyle. You can’t alter your physiology so you must change your lifestyle. If you want to be lean, you must live the lifestyle of a lean person.

I am currently taking Whey protein and creatine supplements, and I have been finding some creatine with NO (actually it’s Arg, which is converted to NO in the body). I understand the basis, but I was wondering if this is safe. If the Arg is actually converted to NO as they say, this would lower BP by systemic vasodilation setting into effect baroreceptor reflex and so forth. I was just wondering if there were any reports of adverse effects, safety profiles, or effectiveness.

I was just wondering, would a 16 to 19 year old boy in the NATRUAL, and average range, of fit and muscular boys, be equal, less strong or more strong than a 20 to 30 year old NATURAL (no drugs or anything) bodybuilding woman? I support many feminist ideas in every intellectual way, but shouldn’t guys be attractive in muscular aspects and women in a non muscular aspect? And without the use of any drugs like if two kids the age of 19 were stranded on an island, one male and the other femal with no stupid technology to make it artifical, could the female of the two catch up with the male in muscle building? Could they both become equally muscular?

No stupid immature uninformative comments allowed please thankyou

Chosen Answer:

No because men are 50 percent naturually stronger than women, a scientific fact.
even if a body building women was as strong, if that same weak @ss guy work out on the same level as the woman he would evenually get stronger.

hope that helps

Earthquakes. Tornadoes. Hurricanes. Would the world be stiff without bad weather? Are natural disasters necessary for a healthy world? Do human beings have to rattle their bones at least occasionally like the earth does? One man’s ECT is another man’s bodybuilding, narcotics, pizza and beer, bungy jumping, rollercoaster riding. Some men are not depressed by not getting ECT but instead, for instance, by playing golf. It just depends on what floats your boat. Sometimes you need to shake yourself up only once to feel good. Earthquakes and hurricanes and tornadoes in the human body perhaps can break up obstructions and blockages by mechanical force and pressure. I was stiff and depressed when I got ECT. I feel comfortable and relaxed now. I used ECT as a way to break up stiffness caused by obstructions. Convulsions induced by ECT broke up my stiff muscular obstructions. I can dance now and feel good.

Chosen Answer:

I can tell you were using ECT when you wrote this question….because it makes absolutely no sense at all!

Chosen Answer:

I’d start by gaining some muscle first and then look at losing body fat. This will ensure you will maintain your muscle mass better when losing body fat as well as helping to burn more calories. HTH : )

I posted this in the diet section but there’s so many posts from the fat asses looking for a miracle weight loss solution that my question got neglected. I’m 23 years old and 140lbs. I was a long distance runner but now my perspective has changed and I want to shed this 16-year-old-looking body and put on some muscle. My goal is 35lbs. in 6 months, which I don’t think is too far fetched. I’m in the gym 4 days and week with <1hr of heavy lifting (heavy being relative to my chicken bone frame of course) I was told this 4 day/wk plan is best because hardgainers need more time to recover..is this true? My workout consists of mostly bench, squat, deadlift and clean. Suggestions? I'm eating 4,000+ calories a day (I set a timer to go off every 2 hours and force myself to eat something) but I'm starting to go broke over this **** and need some diet advice. So I'll give you a sample of what a typical day looks like for me and if you can tell me the same nutrients I can get in cheaper foods that would be great. The problem is I am a bit of a picky eater, I like chicken, I can find it cheap and eat LOTS of it...if there's a risk in eating so much daily please let me know that as well. I know tuna has lots of the nutrients I need but I can't stomach it, if you know a way to mask it or maybe even some blended crap that I can drink in 10 seconds I'd be up for that too. Thanks for any help.

Breakfast: 3 eggs, 2 slices of bread, 1 slice of cheese, 2 slices bacon, 8oz O/J, fruit
Snack: 2 slices of french toast, carrots
Lunch: large chicken breast, 2 slices bacon, 1 slice of cheese, 2 slices bread, fruit, crackers
Snack: banana, granola bar, pudding
Snack: granola bar, cheeseburger
Dinner: large chicken breast, rice, broccoli,
Snack: medium pizza

Chosen Answer:

First thing’s first if you have to get rid of the junk food. French toast, pizza, bacon, granola bars, pudding? They all have to go. Having a cheat day where you eat what you want is fine, but the rest of the week has to be whole, nutritious foods. Instead of granola, eat oatmeal, instead of bacon and pizza, make smoothies using low fat yogurt, protein powder, peanut butter and a couple of ice cubes.

Now it’s great you have the timer going. One thing a lot of skinny guys do is say “I eat a lot” but it turns out they’re not eating nearly enough calories so you have that part down. You just need to clean it up.

The 4 days a week is great too. The normal 5-7 day body building routine won’t work for skinnier guys like yourself because you’ll just exhaust your muscles and they won’t grow back larger.

So really you’re not doing bad. Keep eating the same amount of calories, but get cleaner nutrients. When you lift, lift just one exercise per muscle group, do only 3-5 sets and only do a max of 10 reps. So for instance you do the bench: 160×10 160×10 165×10 165×10. That last set of 165 you’re using every last bit of muscle fiber in your chest to get the weight up. After that, your chest is done, you’ve already put enough stress on it to spark new growth. Any more exercises will only tire out your muscles, burn excess calories and hinder growth.
