Beginner in bodybuilding and have some questions?
what will happen if i ate protein late after lifting weights or even haven’t had it ?
would the exercise then be worthless or what ?
BQ1 : and how long should i train for ?
BQ2 : and how about some aerobic high intensity workout after lifting , would it be bad ?
BQ3 : and how long should i rest for between sets ?
Chosen Answer:
As long as you are eating good nourishing food, including real protein and not the false stuff sold to body builders (completely unnecessary unless you want to be mr universe for ever), and you eat no less that 1 hour before exercise or 30 minutes after, then it’s fine. Exercise itself is never worthless as long as you get the technique right and don’t overdo the weights too soon. Start low weight and gradually increase when your technique for each lift is good. Eat at anytime, just not too soon nearer lots of physical stuff because it puts strain on your heart. (To do with how your body uses blood to get your stomach to digest food, taking it away from your heart that needs good supply if you are training).
Train for 1 hour a day. If you need to, do 2 hours, split if you want. Always take 1 day off a week minimum.
High intensity exercise should be separate, although with a good 15 minute rest after it, weights are ok, as long as you listen to your body and stretch out those muscles first.
Normally 30 seconds is ok between sets. Be sure to drink water before, during and after any form of exercise. You lose more water than you realise. See this link for more info:
